"Because they have taught me so much about life, period, 2017 shows will feature a lot of interviews with artists. I want to ask everyone who reads this....Have you hugged, complimented or uplifted an artist today? Have you liked or favorably commented on one of their posts? Told someone who doesn't know about them about what they do? Just taken a moment to admire their work and appreciate what it takes to produce beautiful, meaningful art in this day and age -- not to mention how important that is.
I'm saying all this because as Talkupy prepares to go back on the air for the first time in two years, I want to tell you how much I appreciate the people who have taken the time to grant me wonderful interviews and make the show what it is.
I also want to say a sorrowful farewell to my friend John Gracy, who I met on the air as he walked us around the Stop The Kaboom Festival in July 2012. I'd never have met John, or become a real-life friend of his without Talkupy. He did amazing light shows for musicians and music festivals up and downt he East Coast. His life and his art mattered. I am so glad that Laura Steepleton introduced us and I will miss him forever."
